When on the lookout for a clear, straightforward photo optimization program, look no further than PIXresizer. Free to use and available for all Windows versions except for 10, it’s a simple program that does exactly what it needs to without any added buttons that can potentially lead to confusion.
At its heart, PIXresizer is exactly what its name implies. It allows you to resize pictures quickly and efficiently, making it perfect for those that need a fast way to prepare pictures for both emails and social media posts. All you do is select the photos you wish to resize, decide how to resize them, choose the file type they’ll be saved as and save the new photos.
Even with such a straightforward process, the program does come with other options that add a comfortable amount of versatility. The resize is based on a percentage of the original photo though either the width or height can be kept the same. Files can also be saved as a .bmp, .gif, .jpeg, .png or .tiff and can be made black and white with the mere click of a button. In addition, the altered pics are stored in a completely separate folder, ensuring that the original photos remain unaltered.
Reviews for this software are all positive. Because of its simple design and small size, it is extremely fast and works exactly as expected. Be it one photo or ten, the resize happens without any unexpected or unwanted surprises.
